Zeiss 880 Airy

Zeiss LSM 880 Airy

The Zeiss LSM 880 Airyscan is a sophisticated point scanning microscope combining a high-end confocal instrument with a super-resolution (“Airy”) detector. The resolution improvement comes from a combination of an array of individual GASP PMTs and of deconvolution. Typical Airy resolutions are 120 nm in xy and 400 nm vertically. While better resolution can be achieved with other techniques, the Airy works with any fluorescent dyes and requires only a high-quality #1.5 coverglass.

Laser lines: 405, 458, 488, 514, 561 and 633 nm

Detectors: 1 PMT, 1 34 channel GAsP spectral, 1 cooled PMT

Emission filters: internal detectors: 370-740 um, continuous. Airyscan detector: conventional dual bandpass emission filters.

Objectives: 10x/0.45 Plan Apochromat, 20x/0.8 Plan Apochromat, 40x/1.3 Plan Apochromat (o), 63x/1.4 Plan-Apochromat (o)

(additional special-purpose objectives are available on request)

Live cells: temperature, humidity and CO2 control, DIC imaging, autofocus device

Multi-location and tiles fully supported
