The institute is committed to establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships, in accordance with all relevant NIH and HHS policies, to assure maximum benefit for all parties involved.
Although NICHD is not a fundraising organization, the institute is authorized by Congress to accept gifts and bequests of money or personal property for the purpose of carrying out its activities, pursuant to Sections 231 and 405 of the Public Health Service Act, as amended.
