Dr. Gisela Storz received her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of California, Berkeley in 1988. She carried out post-doctoral research in the laboratory of Dr. Sankar Adhya at the National Cancer Institute and in the laboratory of Dr. Fred Ausubel at Massachusetts General Hospital. She is currently head of the Section on Environmental Gene Regulation.
