The Branch portfolio includes research on the endocrinological and nutritional influences on growth, body composition, puberty, skeletal accretion, and brain development, as well as prevention of chronic diseases. As a result of a reorganization in 2012, the current name for this organizational unit is the Pediatric Growth and Nutrition Branch.
