Chief Grants Management Officer
Margaret (Maggie) Young became GMB’s chief grants management officer in April 2021. She is responsible for management of NICHD’s extramural grant research activities, supporting the timely, cohesive operations and coordination of NICHD’s grants and services to the grantee community.
Prior to achieving this position, Ms. Young served in different grants management roles within NICHD and other NIH institutes as well as at the Department of Defense’s Grants Policy Office and the Department of Energy’s Grants and Contracts Office. In addition, she spent many years working in the sponsored research offices of several nonprofit research organizations.
Ms. Young attended Bridgewater College and Montgomery College Rockville, majoring in business administration.
