Dr. Spong on camera.
Dr. Catherine Spong: I'm an obstetrician/gynecologist with subspecialty training in maternal fetal medicine, meaning I take care of women who have high-risk pregnancies, which can include anything from advanced maternal age to multi-fetal gestation to hypertension in pregnancy or diabetes in pregnancy. I am currently the Director of the Division of Extramural Research at the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development. And I also see patients one day a week at an outside hospital.
