NIH Websites Are Changing

Beginning in late July, NIH will start introducing a new website experience designed to make it easier to find health information, research, funding opportunities, and other resources. During the transition, you may notice changes to navigation, page layouts, and where some information is located.

Program Project (P01) Guidelines

As described in NOT-HD-16-019, NICHD will no longer accept P01 Program Project Grant applications for the broad scope of NICHD research interests.  Instead, NICHD plans to reserve issuance of funding opportunities for P01 Program Project Grant applications for specific high-priority research topics that are appropriate for possible support using this multi-component grant mechanism.  

An example of a targeted P01 Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is RFA-HD-17-017 "Developmental Mechanisms of Human Structural Birth Defects (P01)."  Please watch the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts for other NICHD P01 FOAs as they are published.  Information about budget restrictions and other submission requirements will be described in the respective FOAs.
