Biosketch

Ying Liu, Ph.D., joined both the Contraception Research Branch and the Fertility and Infertility Branch in January 2022 as a program analyst in support of both branches’ mission areas. Before joining DER, she worked as a biologist in the Division of Intramural Research’s Section on Heritable Disorders of Bone and Extracellular Matrix since 2017.

Prior to joining NICHD, Dr. Liu was a researcher for the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute and the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, both at NIH; and the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.

Dr. Liu received her Ph.D. in molecular biology and biochemistry from the Pediatric Research Institute, National Hospital, University of Oslo in Norway. She completed her postdoctoral training at Georgetown University Medical Center.
