Purpose
As part of the Implementing a Maternal health and PRegnancy Outcomes Vision for Everyone (IMPROVE) initiative, NIH recently issued the following three funding opportunity announcements (FOAs) to solicit applications to establish a national network of Maternal Health Research Centers of Excellence:
- RFA-HD-23-035: Maternal Health Research Centers of Excellence (U54 Clinical Trial Optional)
- RFA-HD-23-036: Maternal Health Research Centers of Excellence Data Innovation and Coordinating Hub/Resource Center (U24 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)
- RFA-HD-23-037: Maternal Health Research Centers of Excellence Implementation Science Hub/Resource Center (U24 Clinical Trial Optional)
To provide an overview of these three FOAs and to address questions from potential applicants, NICHD will coordinate two pre-application webinars. All prospective applicants are invited to attend these optional webinars and are strongly encouraged to send relevant questions prior to the webinars to maximize the use of time. Questions should be sent by email to improveinitiative@od.nih.gov by September 27, 2022. These questions will be prioritized during the Questions and Answers portion of the webinar.
