NIH Websites Are Changing

Beginning in late July, NIH will start introducing a new website experience designed to make it easier to find health information, research, funding opportunities, and other resources. During the transition, you may notice changes to navigation, page layouts, and where some information is located.

This booklet for pregnant women who have been diagnosed with gestational diabetes explains the symptoms of, outcomes, and general treatments for the condition.

This 48-page booklet is part of the NICHD's research portfolio in women's health. The information is intended for women who have been diagnosed with gestational diabetes, a type of diabetes that only pregnant women get. The booklet explains gestational diabetes, its causes, and its symptoms. It also provides a general treatment plan for the condition that patients and health care professionals can use to set up a treatment regimen that addresses the woman's specific needs.
