Biosketch
Dr. Susan Taymans was named deputy chief of FIB in September 2023. She also is the director of the branch’s programs in embryonic gonad and gamete development, basic ovarian function and dysfunction, and fertility preservation.
Dr. Taymans joined the branch in 1999, following a postdoctoral position in endocrine genetics with Dr. Constantine Stratakis, then in the NICHD Division of Intramural Research. She also chairs the NICHD Stephen I. Katz Early Stage Investigator Committee and co-chairs the NICHD Training Policy Committee.
Dr. Taymans received her Ph.D. in molecular endocrinology from the University of Maryland.
