The NICHD is one of many federal organizations that support Cushing’s syndrome research. The NICHD’s portfolio covers a variety of topics within the field, including the accuracy of diagnostic tests, populations at risk for the condition, management of the syndrome in pregnancy, and health issues after successful treatment. The NICHD also supports professional training and the development of a scientific infrastructure to help broaden the reach of research in Cushing’s syndrome and other pituitary and adrenal gland disorders.
