Jagpreet Nanda, Ph.D., became a scientific review officer for SRB in 2021. He manages the Reproduction, Andrology, and Gynecology (CHHD-R) study section. In addition, he runs other Special Emphasis Panel meetings on various aspects of human reproduction, such as endometriosis, contraception, and infertility. His research expertise includes enzymology, RNA biology, and eukaryotic gene expression and regulation.
Prior to joining SRB, Dr. Nanda worked as a staff scientist in the intramural Laboratory on Mechanisms and Regulations of Protein Synthesis, focused on understanding the mechanism of eukaryotic protein synthesis in yeast using various biophysical, structural biology, genomics, and yeast genetic approaches.
Dr. Nanda received his Ph.D. in biochemistry from Jawaharlal Nehru University in India, and did his postdoctoral work at Johns Hopkins University. He has also authored several research articles in high-impact journals and book chapters.
