Helen Huang, Ph.D., became a scientific review officer (SRO) for SRB in December 2023. She previously worked as an SRO with SRB in 2011, managing three study sections and holding Special Emphasis Panels for a range of disciplines over an array of activity codes.
Prior to rejoining NICHD, Dr. Huang was a health scientist administrator at the NIH Office of Research on Women’s Health. She managed the NIH-wide Working Group on Women in Biomedical Careers and administered continuity and retention supplements and re-entry, re-integration, and re-training supplements for the office.
Dr. Huang obtained her Ph.D. in biochemistry in 2006 from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. She completed her postdoctoral training, first at Stanford and then in NICHD’s Division of Intramural Research.
