Instructions for a blood sample appropriate for DNA extraction and cell line establishment (EBV-transformed)
10 to 20 ml of blood (for children younger than 5, 7-10ml may be enough, although larger volumes are preferred for cell line establishment).
Sample must be drawn in a heparinized (with sodium heparin, not lithium heparin) tube, which does not contain any glass beads or any other particles.
