Stuart B. Moss joined the RSB in 2009 where he is the Director of Male Reproductive Health Program. He also is the Project Scientist for the Specialized Cooperative Centers Program in Reproduction and Infertility Research (SCCPIR U54 program) and the Program Officer for the Male Reproductive Health Research Career Development Program (K12). He received his Ph.D. from the University of Rochester, did post-doctoral work at the Harvard Medical School, and was a staff scientist at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. He was a faculty member, first at Temple University and then in the Center for Research on Reproduction and Women's Health at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Dr. Moss' laboratory worked on various aspects of spermatogenesis and sperm function, in particular the mechanisms involved in flagellar formation and the cell signaling pathways responsible for sperm motility. He came to the NIH in 2007 where he initially was a Scientific Review Officer in the Center for Scientific Review, overseeing the Cellular, Molecular and Integrative Reproduction (CMIR) study section.
