Dr. Long joined NICHD in 2017. She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and serves as the medical officer and project officer for the Contraceptive Clinical Trials Network. Previously, she served as medical officer in the Sexually Transmitted Diseases Branch at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (2012–2017) and performed premarket clinical review for obstetric/gynecologic devices at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (2009-2012).
