Josh Lorenzo, M.P.H.

Josh Lorenzo, M.P.H., joined OPPTB in December 2021 as a program analyst. Before coming to NICHD, he spent 11 years in the Division of Clinical Research at NIH’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). He supported the intramural Institutional Review Board (IRB) Office, assisting principal investigators and study teams with navigating the protocol approval process. Most recently, his efforts focused on implementing COVID-19 multicenter therapeutic clinical trials.

Prior to his time in NIAID, Mr. Lorenzo served in a variety of roles at NIH’s National Cancer Institute in support of its intramural IRB Office, and in developing a monitoring and auditing platform at the Cancer Imaging Program.

Mr. Lorenzo received his master’s degree in public health and a graduate certificate in infection control from the University of South Florida.
