Purpose
Bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) is a type of lung disease that affects premature infants. Extremely preterm infants may require long-term use of oxygen and mechanical ventilation as life-saving measures. However, these procedures may lead to the development of BPD.
This workshop will bring together researchers, health care providers, and others from various disciplines to discuss the definition, diagnosis, prevention, early intervention, and treatment for BPD. Participants also will identify knowledge gaps and outline research priorities to advance care for infants with BPD.
The meeting is open to the public, but registration is required. To register, email Rosemary Higgins.
