This scientific report is the 13th in a series from the Federal Interagency Forum on Child and Family Statistics, of which the NICHD is a member. The report presents key indicators of important aspects of children's lives, based on the most reliable official statistics. Indicators include population and family characteristics, economic security, health, behavior and social environment, education, and special features, such as family structure.
