The Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), part of the NIH within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is committed to supporting research in the neurosciences, particularly as they affect developing systems and rehabilitation.

The NICHD supports the full spectrum of basic, clinical, and translational research in the biomedical and behavioral neuroscience arenas. This website provides information for researchers, scientists, health care providers, and others about NICHD funding and research opportunities within the neurosciences.

BRAIN Funding OpportunitiesIn addition to NICHD-sponsored initiatives and investigator-initiated projects, the NICHD also supports trans-NIH activities, including the Brain Research through Advancing Innovative Neurotechnologies (BRAIN) initiative, which is being funded through the NIH Blueprint for Neuroscience Research.

We hope you enjoyed the 44th annual Society for Neuroscience meeting in Washington, D.C. We look forward to seeing you next year, October 17-21, 2015, at the 45th annual meeting in Chicago. As always you’ll be able to find us at our kiosk in the Institute/Government Agency section of the Exhibitor Area. In the meantime, feel free to contact us at any time to discuss your research efforts.
