• Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
  CDC offers patient education materials on hepatitis C, hepatitis B, and human papillomavirus (HPV) in several languages.
  • STD Wizard  is a free interactive online tool based on the CDC STD Treatment Guidelines. This tool allows individuals to analyze their STD/STI risk based on their demographics and behaviors and recommends tests and vaccines based on individual responses. These recommendations can be used to start a discussion with the user's health care provider. The STD Wizard is available from CDC in English and Spanish.

  • CDC also has information about Zika virus, including prevention and transmission, as well as recommendations for pregnant women who might be traveling to areas with Zika.

  OWH offers a Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) Fact Sheet and Your Rights as a Woman with HIV/AIDS.
• National Library of Medicine (NLM)
  The NLM's Medline Plus X-Plain module on Sexually Transmitted Diseases offers information about STDs.
• National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID)
  NIAID provides information on STD/STI research and individual STDs.

• Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
  • National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention (NCHHSTP) Atlas
    NCHHSTP maintains an online atlas that provides interactive maps, graphs, tables, and figures showing geographic patterns and time trends of surveillance data for STIs. CDC also provides professional resources on hepatitis B and hepatitis C. See a list of CDC tools and materials, including CDC video resources on STDs/STIs.
  • CDC offers information about Zika virus for health care providers.
• National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID)
  NIAID conducts and supports research on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of STDs, including HIV/AIDS. NIAID has information for funding for researchers.
