- Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS)
FARS is a nationwide census sponsored by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to provide yearly data on fatal injuries from motor vehicle crashes. The website provides access to FARS data and includes information on research (including access to technical publications), laws and regulations, and driving and vehicle safety.
- Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA)
The GHSA represents the state and territorial highway safety offices that implement programs to address behavioral highway safety issues, including occupant protection, impaired driving, and speeding. It maintains resources on distracted driving and tracks state legislation and driving statistics. In 2011, GSHA issued a report summarizing distracted driving research and issuing recommendations for states.
