Kara A. Michels is a postdoctoral Intramural Research Training Award fellow in the Epidemiology Branch. She works under the mentorship of Doctors Sunni Mumford and Edwina Yeung. She received her Ph.D. in epidemiology from Vanderbilt University, her M.P.H. from the University of Kentucky, and her B.A. in biology from Willamette University. The influence of genetics/epigenetics, pharmacology/dietary suplements, and chronobiology on reproductive health is of particluar interest to her—as well as the application of epidemiologic methods to studies in these areas.
