Robyn Kalwerisky joined the Epidemiology Branch as a post baccalaureate fellow in June 2014. She graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.A. in Jewish Studies and a focus on pre-medical coursework. Her research and career interests include reproductive and dietary health issues among adolescents, especially within the context of underserved communities. Currently, one of her research projects is exploring the accuracy of referencing in medical journals, while the other focuses on dietary factors influencing Premenstrual Syndrome. Her prior research experiences have involved the analysis of hemoglobin levels and blood transfusion administration in the ICU as well as the interplay between depression, substance abuse, and HIV in underserved D.C. neighborhoods. She hopes to pursue pediatric medicine with the goal of providing quality healthcare to adolescents in underserved communities.
