Benjamin T. Gee is a research fellow with an interest in improving clinical outcomes for patients with chronic diseases by targeting illness management. In the past, Benjamin has developed clinical interventions that incorporate web-based technology and elements of social media to improve patient education. At the NICHD, his research focuses on the socio-environmental and psychosocial determinants of health outcomes in adolescents with Type 1 diabetes.
Benjamin has earned a double degree in Biology (B.S) and Anthropology (B.A) from Tufts University in 2012. After his graduation, he was awarded a one year Research Fellowship with the International Virtual e-Hospital Foundation (IVeH) to develop and implement novel research strategies in Albania and the Balkans. His research-based skill sets include quantitative and qualitative research methods, scientific writing, data management, and clinical trial protocol.
