Jessamyn is a recent graduate of the State University of New York at Geneseo where she earned a B.A. in Psychology and Spanish. At Geneseo she worked in the Sibling Peer Research Group studying physical, verbal and relational aggression in children and adolescents. She has also worked at Cornell Infant Studies Lab examining language acquisition and at Ithaca College's Center for Research on the Effects of Television exploring the impact of media literacy on children’s food choices. Jessamyn joined the Prevention Research Branch in August 2012. As a postbaccalaureate fellow she collaborates on driving and adolescent health behavior projects. Jessamyn’s research interests include understanding choices, decision-making, and behavior of adolescents and young adults particularly during times of life transition.
