Theresa Hayes Cruz, Ph.D., joined the Center in 2009, as a Program Analyst. Dr. Cruz received her Bachelor's Degree with Highest Honors from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, School of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering. She received her Master's and Doctoral degrees in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University. Her previous research at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago focused on motor control and gait impairments of the lower limb following stroke. Dr. Cruz is now a Program Officer at NCMRR, where she manages grants in the Spinal Cord and Musculoskeletal Disorders and Assistive Devices and the Behavioral Sciences and Rehabilitation Technologies Programs.
