Patricia Reichelderfer, Ph.D., joined the CRHB in 1998, from the NIAID Division of AIDS, where she was program virologist. She represents the CRHB in HIV research, in microbicide research, and in research on HIV in women and girls and is responsible for the NICHD?s portion of the CFAR. She is the NICHD representative on four HIV committees at the OAR, including therapeutics, etiology and pathogenesis, microbicides, and women and girls. Dr. Reichelderfer was the primary organizer for the international biannual meetings on microbicides for Microbicides 2000-2006. She is on the editorial board for the Journal of Clinical Microbiology and regularly reviews for AIDS and the Journal of Infectious Diseases. She also works with the intramural program on microbicides and HIV/co-pathogen interactions.
