Reproductive Medicine Infertility

This program area, directed by Dr. Esther Eisenberg, includes research and research training activities on reproductive diseases and disorders that impact fertility. A major goal of this program is to better understand the etiology and treatment of infertility and impaired fecundity associated with diseases such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis, premature ovarian insufficiency, idiopathic hypothalamic hypogonadism (IHH) and other causes of infertility. The program emphasis is on clinical research that explores effective methods for diagnosis, management and prevention of infertility as well as underlying diseases that affect fertility, and clinical studies that evaluate new therapeutic interventions and optimization of current therapeutic strategies for management of infertility.
