Purpose
This meeting gathers national leaders in pediatric therapeutic development and includes a keynote address by U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Associate Commissioner for Product Development Stephen Spielberg, M.D., Ph.D.
Jointly sponsored by the Clinical and Translational Science Awards Consortium Child Health Oversight Committee and the NICHD, the meeting features presentations and panel discussions on:
- The ethical and regulatory framework of pediatric research
- Informatics challenges with the management of pediatric trial data
- Considerations unique to multisite pediatric trials
Additional speakers and attendees will include clinical research consultants and representatives from the NIH, the FDA, academic health centers, pharmaceutical and medical device firms, and contract research organizations.
